About Us

Brenda Kae’s Homemade Cookies LLC is owned and operated by Andrell and Danielle Nichols. Andrell is a master barber with over 26 years in the field and Danielle is a registered nurse with over 16 years in the healthcare field. They both have a passion for service which has lead to their love of baking cookies for others.
These delicious cookies made their first appearance in December 2018 as a simple holiday treat for customers at the barbershop. Weeks later customers continued craving them and demanded their return. Andrell made that happen by selling the cookies every Friday and Saturday in the shop.

March 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the State of Nebraska required all barbershops to stop operations immediately which lead to a halt in the cookie sales as well. During this pandemic, Danielle continued to work relentlessly, full time and over time as a bedside nurse supervisor.

September 2020 business slowly started back up at the barbershop, with the first request being to bring back the cookies! As months passed Danielle told Andrell one evening while baking, “we can make a business out of this.” And here we are, by faith! 

Our business is named in honor of Andrell’s mother, Brenda Kae, who passed away suddenly in 2007. She did not bake but still left two special ingredients that we put in every cookie; love and compassion.
